as if starfleet would ACTUALLY deploy a fleet of Battlecruisers, armed to the teeth with Transphasics to Romulus.

Ah, right. Well, time to break out the Genesis Device again. Hmm, planet busting torpedoes, capable of being carried on a ship. Very nice.

I like the idea of the Genesis device as a weapon.

Wipe out your enemies, and turn their atoms into a nice shiny planet where you can have a victory party.

Course, you have to be sure to evacuate in time, but at least you don't have to worry about cleaning up the mess.
