I think the Transparent Aluminum is the most immediately practical item there that I can see being used in the next 10 years.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I vaguely remembering watching something on TV about crystalized metal that you could see through. That was ten or more years ago though.

There are so many uses for transparent aluminium big and small.

I thank you, Platonian, for posting this; it will aid me in my sci-fi writing for sure. I like to know what's probable, and what I reasonably can include for near-future stuff.
