"Towards a Star Trek-style Replicator"

Post by Platonian »

I thought you might find this article interesting as an example of "life imitating art":

NASA is funding a 3D food printer, and it'll start with pizza (The Verge)

I'm just waiting for the day that instead of having to replace the yellow ink cartradge I have to replace the cheese one.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Doesn't matter - I'm from Jersey. No matter how good the thing is, the crust won't be crispy enough.

So when we click the wrong button in the future, we'll end up with a pie with extra cheese delivered to a supervisor's desk after he asks for a report, and a bunch of paper when we try to print dinner. You'd better hope your boss loves pizza!

Or that he merely 'liked' pizza and the pie he gets pushes him over the edge into love. :D

Could be worse you know. The machine goes rogue and turns people into pizza.

Sounds like a 80's movie....

Or it simply won't work, and you'll end up with something almost (but not quite) entirely unlike tea.
