An idea I had while watching the lattest SFdebris review.

Was there any episode or movie that when you first watched it you enjoyed it but now years latter you dont?

The review of Who watches the Watches reminded me that when I first saw the episode I enjoyed it but watching it again last year I thought it was more "meh".

Also Nemesis, in the cinema I enjoyed it because I just switched off my brain and watched the fun. But after reading so many reviews and take downs of it, my opinion of it has been spoiled so I cant enjoy it any more.

Threshold. I did enjoy it even though I knew it was shitty. Then again I can usually do that with almost any show or movie only once. Except Twilight. I saw that movie and I was getting angrier and more frustrated as I sat through it. I only did it to get laid.

Problem with sleeping with a Twilight fan is getting rid of the body glitter latter.

That too.

I never understood the popularity. The movies suck really bad. The books are not that well written. I tried once long before the first movie to read the first book and I never could picture was Bella looked like. But I know what Edward looked like. That was beaten in my head every other page.

It's porn for chicks. How much artistic value is there in porn for men? Same thing.

Maybe not porn but an action film perhaps.

I also find Kes to be a very annoying character now in early Voyager. I never really liked her, but now she actively annoys me.

Not a movie/TV episode, but when I first read 'battlefield Earth' I really liked it. Nowadays, even though it's got a brutally efficient invasion of Earth and still does some rather cool stuff, it's fallen FAR. Admittedly when I first read it I had no knowledge of scientology either. !ouch)

1000 years afterwards and works perfectly. The mechanic in me goes Hulk when I see that. Many things work better when running and usually breaks when not running. Not to mention corrosion, dust and other crap.

Sadly, that's one of the least of the problems with that movie.

Its the only once that I focus on because it annoys me. I mean cars barely start with a half dead battery that hasn't been used in six months. Not only that but my own personal experience with military jets.

Even disregarding the technical and mechanical reason, these weapons didnt have effect first time when they were used by people trained to use them and brand new.

The sad part is, that's one of the things the book did right. Almost all of civilization had crumbled away, bar the few pockets still inhabited and the city of Denver, Colorado. And the only reason that city wasn't so bad off was a Psychlo subject race had restored it. But even then that was a hundred years before the book and it had begun to decay again. I mean for all the faults the book has... it also does some stuff that is remarkably good.

Nope that doesn't bug me. I just want to know what they used to preserve those planes to last in perfect working order for 1000 years. God that bugs me. That along with similar incidences.
