Some 'Trek villains are scary, some are mean, but some are as frightening as a Chihuaha kissing a kitten.

Hoffman's top 10 born-to-be-mild.

Hmm, from what I remember. Teer Maab was rather noble. He felt the Klingons were better allies, but when they proved to be dishonorable, he realized it at least.

I rather liked that guy. I liked the whole thing of him having all these ideas about how things should be done, only to find once he had power that it wasn't quite so simple. It gave him a bit more depth than the stereotypical bad guy types that cropped up in the sixties.

I guess my issue with him was more of a reflection on the rather childlike, B&W mores of the time rather than on the character himself who was merely a reflection of that.

Well, for what it's worth, here's my review for Friday's Child. Maab did right in the end, at least.
