I might work, or not. No real way to see unless they did it. But I'll say this-it'd be quite difficult for it to be worse than the old TAS.

We used to have a whole subforum for TAS, just as we do for TOS, TNG, etc. We ended up shutting it down because after the first couple of months nobody ever posted there.

I've not seen all the episodes myself. Ian and I tried to sit and watch them all so we could do reviews on the site, but the cheese factor was too high and we gave up after a while.

We did consider putting TAS characters and ships, etc on the DITL site... I had a hankering to put the picture captions as things like "This is an artists impression of Lieutenant M'Ress"

I think that would be neat as well. Arex and M'Ress were featured in David's New Frontier books so I think they are deserving of more recognition.

But I guess the issue at hand goes to how much such efforts would be appreciated. Like you pointed out, no one seemed to be very interested in TAS when you had a category here so it is possible not many people would want to read information about TAS ships.

Speaking for myself, though, I would be very interested in anything you might have to say about TAS. I concede some of the episodes are very silly, but I have a nostalgic love of the show.

The trouble with that is that the NF books, as good as they are, are no more canon than TAS.

I enjoyed the stories that TAS tried to tell, but I'll agree that some of the writing and the execution could have used a bit more work. The animation seems rushed at times. I can understand the limits imposed on them by the resources at hand, but that doesn't excuse them showing the Enterprise flying threw space in one frame while the action (not involving the ship) is happening on a planet (a planet that doesn't even appear in the frame with the Enterprise).

Also, several times, they show crewman on screen while he's supposed to be somewhere else. Like McCoy over the intercom summoning Spock to sickbay while we see the doctor standing near Kirk's chair. In another episode, there's a redshirt at the helm, then Sulu is there (he's supposed to be on the planet), then the redshirt is back.

But then, the live action shows weren't perfect either.
