The Paladin Class
The Paladin Class
I was screwing around on the net, and did a search for the USS Paladin, and found this

Check out the Paladin class design. Does that design look slightly familiar?

Re: The Paladin Class
That looks VERY similar to the 2D sketches I put up, as well as the 3D rendering I did.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Re: The Paladin Class
Did he seriously steal your guys design and take it as his own? And are the specs about the same too?

Re: The Paladin Class
the specs are more similar than the look....from the looks of it, he changed the nacelle configuration, put the secondary hull into one form, and added those extra struts, but the designs and write up looks to be almost verbatim.

Re: The Paladin Class
Jackass, you should send something to the site admin and send him the link to your stuff, because he shouldn't get credit for your design.

Is it possible to have a link to your original sketches?

Staplic - your post of your sketches and our write-up will have a date stamp. If I were you, I'd send a link to Bernd.

Also, if you click on the designers name you can supposedly email them directly...

Re: The Paladin Class
it's gone....that was the thread that Teaos got mad about b/c I didn't have his permission to open it, so I removed everything IIRC

Eh? I don't think so. Did you do a search?

Re: The Paladin Class
Well I found it.....Teaos locked the thread before I could remove anything from it.
Upon seeing my own design again they really are quite different, I still think he might have taken the idea for the ship from the DITL group, maybe used my sketches as a baseline, but really their not similar enough to start anything.
Here is the 3D rendering I did with googlesketchup. Here is the thread I started with the 2D sketches that Teaos locked.
