Greatest Trek line ever
What's yours? Whether it be a serious, deep, meaningful and philosophic one, a killer one-liner or just something funny. What's the one line in Trek that means the most to you and why?
“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and
the affection of children...to leave the world a better place...to
know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is
to have succeeded.”

Re: Greatest Trek line ever
"I lied. I cheated. I bribed men to cover the crimes of other men. I am an accessory to murder. But the most damaging thing of all... I think I can live with it. And if I had to do it all over again, I would. Garak was right about one thing - a guilty conscience is a small price to pay for the safety of the Alpha Quadrant." - Sisko, confessing to his personal log.
I don't know why, but it's one of the reasons I like Sisko the most as a captain. 1) because he will devote himself to his task and 2) knows when he's done shit wrong.

Re: Greatest Trek line ever
I know I'm probably going with the trite answers here, but I have to say 'em:
drama: "Of all the souls I've known, his was the most... human."
comedy: "Aye, and if my grandmother had wheels she'd be a wagon."

Re: Greatest Trek line ever
As one of my candidates, I'll second Reliants proposal and add another from the same episode:
"That's why you came to me, isn't it captain? Because you knew I could do those things that you weren't capable of doing. Well, it worked. And you'll get what you wanted: a war between the Romulans and the Dominion. And if your conscience is bothering you, you should soothe it with the knowledge that you may have just saved the entire Alpha Quadrant, and all it cost was the life of one Romulan senator, one criminal... and the self-respect of one Starfleet officer. I don't know about you, but I'd call that a bargain."

"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

I'm not positive, but I think that line was borrowed from somewhere. Something about some guy called Richard.Mark wrote:"Cry havok, and let slip the dogs of war!"

"Alright, we're gonna time travel. You guys figure out how to do it, I'll be on the bridge, thinking of whole new ways to be awesome our scientists haven't even theorized yet."

With Ate by his side come hot from Hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch's voice
Cry "Havoc!" and let slip the dogs of war,

I like my sig for funny. as well as:
"I protest! I am NOT and MERRY MAN!" - Worf
Anything and everything Morn ever said (off camera of course...)
And then, of cousre, there this:
Kirk: Khan, you bloodsucker. You're going to have to do your own dirty work now! Do you hear me? Do you?
Khan: Kirk? You're still alive, my old friend?
Kirk: Still, "old friend!" You've managed to kill everyone else, but like a poor marksman, you keep missing the target!
Khan: Perhaps I no longer need to try, Admiral.
[beams the Genesis device away]
Kirk: Khan... Khan, you've got Genesis, but you don't have me. You were going to kill me, Khan. You're going to have to come down here. You're going to have to come down here!
Khan: I've done far worse than kill you, Admiral. I've hurt you. And I wish to go on hurting you. I shall leave you as you left me, as you left her; marooned for all eternity in the center of a dead planet... buried alive! Buried alive...!
Kirk: KHAAANNNN!
[echo]
