The best combat style was still in TOS, where they fought a much more thought out battle. Shields and position and weapons made a difference which they really just don't anymore.

Oh and while I'm thinking about it I got the locations of some stuff wrong on the Klingon ships.

Looking at better pics the impulse engines are in the "wings" not the center. They've got a big shuttlebay there. The "wings" are also really built up approaching the center of the ship. This has the interesting effect of completly enveloping the warp core from every direction except for below. Which actually makes sense, you don't want the thing being easy to target (fed ships do pretty well with this from the front but from the other arcs the core is painfully close to the surface).

Also since they're so small when targeting the bridge or forward disruptor pod you'll always be considered to be targeting a specific thing instead of a general area. (which means crits will go to the bridge or tac comp on impacts there and crits on the forward disruptor pod will knock out the disruptors, but you have another -1 to hit).

Well that fits the cannon very well since Dukat once spoke of Klingon ships having "soft bellys"
