Star Trek Online Ship Design
Re: Star Trek Online Ship Design
I like the Excalibur. It's different. The Norway-Akira love baby looks ok, the rest suck.

These make me glad that I'm not much of a gamer. Seriously, with the amount of coin people are going to put down for this, they could at least expect an interesting and well-thought design in return.

Well, there's one game I'm not spending money on unless I hear nothing but awesomeness about it.

Frankly, they should be paying us as compensation for two decades of garbage Trek games.

Well, as I thought the consens seems to be that most new designs are utter crap yet when one reads the forum entries to the new ships legions of fanbois have nothing but praise for those abominations which makes me wonder how many of those are real posts and how many are from the makers of the game themselves...... .

Unfortunately, Trek Fanboys tend to find anything sleek and powerful looking like a digital orgasm.
The epitome of meh tbh.

Sorry to necro, but they have done a new klingon "Super carrier". the specs are shifty at best, but I think they did quite well design wise. It looks like a D-5 in the Time period that it SHOULD have been.

Interesting... Not sure if I like it or not. I need something next to it for scale, it seems like its really small but its supposed to be a carrier.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Looks more like a Klingon version of a Runabout to me. Still, not a bad design.

Are those structures under the wings the landing bays?

Re: Star Trek Online Ship Design
I just realised. From the fron it looks a lot like a rounder version of the Daedalus from SG-1.

Ah, yes, ablative armor for a super-carrier...

Re: Star Trek Online Ship Design
Well that's retarded. Carriers aren't supposed to be anywhere near the battle itself. Wasting so much resources on armouring them is just dumb.
