DITL Species Creature Image Submission

Post by Monroe »

Purpose of this thread is to gather submissions for what the species might look like. The purpose is not to debate!!!! That will come later.

Compliments or suggestions are fine but look at them as how to make each submission better NOT how they would or would not fit with the fungal race. That thread will be later!
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

I'm still going with something like this - a representation of Lovecraft's Elder Things - but without the wings. I think the idea of radial symmetry works for a fungoid creature, even including the sensory and motile apparatus, though I'd probably make the body a bit fatter.

I think I have a lamp around here that looks somewhat like that.

That said, I still second Rochey's idea.

Technicaly, Mikey first posted the images I did, so he gets credit for that.

Alot better that what I had in mind..............

I was thinking "ambulatory mushroom".

It wouldn't look like much, but he'd be a real fun-guy!

I propose something like a triffid, with the greater beings being sort of queen-like. In a sense that they'd lose their mobility.
Normal sized creatures:

The younglings would start off as the depictes plants, but would start developing paws to walk on after some years of growing.

Greater sized creatures: Something like a giant brain and a large bag in which the offspring grows. The paws are still there, but are no longer of any use to move the creature.

Please note that these imnages aren't mine at all. i ddn't bother to look p the source. Next to that, I don't think the description is sufficient, but it is still a general guideline.

btw, i mentioned ealier Spore players could envision our creature, here is their oppurtunity to make one.

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
