What ships in Starfleet are considered Battleships?

Actually, most sci-fi would probably have fighters to counter enemy bombers. :)

Don't forget the Maquis vessels which looked pretty much the same as the Federation fighters that they destroyed a Cardassian Galor.

I'm pretty sure Marquis ships are bigger and stronger than a fighter.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
