Best Trek Movie Moment 8: First Contact
Here's First Contact.
I love the flyby of the Enterprise-E--the first time we get to see that beautiful ship.
But, I'm going to pick the first contact scene at the end. Added with Goldsmith's music, and knowing how big a moment that is for the whole Trek Universe.
But the scene between Picard and Lily in the conference room is great, too.

"They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further, and I will make them pay for what they've done!"
Brilliant.
Brilliant.

I had a tough time picking, but I went with the eye candy of the cube battle. Deanna "blending" wasn't a great moment for me, but I have to give an honorable mention to the use of a Roy Orbison tune in a 'Trek movie.

I have a hard time choosing here. It was great to see that gorgeous ship move across the frame for the first time, but the battle was great and Picard's speech is also something from this film that's stuck with me.
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wonderous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross... but it's not for the timid." Q, Q Who

I had to go with the battle (short as it is), but Picard's speech stuck with me as well. It was awesome to see a Starfleet captain with such a high moral standard become so justifiably angry.
There is only one way of avoiding the war – that is the overthrow of this society. However, as we are too weak for this task, the war is inevitable. -L. Trotsky, 1939
