Best Trek Movie Moment 7: Generations

Post by Varthikes »

Sorry I took so long. Had a very busy week. But, here's Generations.

I'm going say the whole part with the Enterprise-B.

The Nexus - specifically the interaction between Kirk and Picard. Shatner got some great lines for those scenes.

"I was out saving the galaxy when your grandfather was in diapers. Besides which, I think the galaxy owes me one."

[Re: Picard retiring]"Don't. Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there you can make a difference."

"If Spock were here he'd say I was irrational, illogical human being for taking on a mission like that. Sounds like fun."

Saucer crash!

I had no idea going in that they were blowing up the E-D in this movie. No idea about the saucer crash. I watched the whole sequence slack-jawed with amazement thinking "Holy crap!"

I'll second the Nexus scene. Some good dialogue there. Though the E-D getting whomped is a close second.

Who doesnt like sh*t being blown up?
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Me, when it's due to character stupidity and adds bugger-all to the plot.

E-D blowing up, and the saucer crash. You know you're in trouble when your calm, cool, and collected android says, "Oh, sh*t". I was in stitches the first time I saw that scene!

Death of the E-D. Like GK, I was under the unconscious impression that they couldn't blow up ANOTHER hero ship, could they?

The life form song, there. Just... random and gutbusting.
