LeVar Burton next Jeopardy host? It could happen!

Jeopardy fans are petitioning for Burton to become the next host of the long running popular trivia show.

The petition (started on Change.com) is to show Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. and producers Mike Richards and Harry Friedman just how much love the public has for Burton, etc.

As of Saturday afternoon, three days after the petition went live, it had over 74,200 signatures. The goal was 75,000.

I love this idea! He is personable and has a good sense of humor, unlike the GOAT winner Ken Jennings, who was hired to deliver clues this season.

Interesting because he would be a host to many contestants who watched Reading Rainbow as a child.

That and they should at least once put Reading Rainbow full blast for his intro.

Looks like they will be using 'guest hosts' for a while, starting with Ken Jennings.

I smell audition flop-sweat from here, and prayers for excellent audience feedback will be whistling past soon.

Hope they give LeVar a chance!
