I wouldn't mind a future series either but I really think it should wait for a while after what happened with Enterprise.

I think I agree that Rochey's idea is good but would be better for a miniseries, maybe followed by a series set slightly later in a more stable time for the Federation.

I would like to see a serie of mini-films, telling the story of the federation from it's founding to the DS9-era, maybe post-era.

You could jump 5-10 years at every mini-movie

How about a mini-film based on one of the DS9 relaunch novels, say Avatar?

Remember they have to be profitable and mini films are almost never profitable. Unless they have tiny budgets which would just make anything like this crap. Low budget special effects and rushed production does not a good movie make.
