Incorrect. Try reading what I am saying before you call anyone an idiot.
Low population areas will have less zombies than a city. It makes it easier to stay in one place than 3 million zombies in a city.
Being bogged down would happen where there is a large population density like cities.
Incorrect. You assumed that I was talking about traffic. I was talking about population densities.Without reading the whole topic, but are we on the run living like nomads or are we defending a position? That is why I suggested .50 cal. Hell go for the GAU-15(I think) gatling gun too. Those can be mounted on back of SUVs or trucks easily enough.

Re: Zombie Invasion
A population leaving by vehicle is vehicle traffic.

Re: Zombie Invasion
There is not going to be evenly remotely close to the amount of traffic in US's mid-west than the cities. Low population densities is going to have less people over a greater area. Less people = less zombies. Which means it makes it easier to defend and not be on the run.

Re: Zombie Invasion
Good thing I said there wouldn't be the same amount of traffic then. Thanks for repeating me. However the problem remains that sooner or later you will have to move out to find resources. You and your .50cal MG require a vehicle, suited terrain, fuel, repair on the vehicle and loss of stealth. A person with an assault or battle rifle or SMG doesn't cost you any of those things.

Re: Zombie Invasion
You never said anything about that.
In long run, it doesn't matter what gun you use. You still need ammo for it and eventually you wouldn't care what gun you have as long as it has ammo.

Re: Zombie Invasion
Wrong again, the OP states directly unlimited ammo. There for it is very much a matter of what weapons you have.

Re: Zombie Invasion
Ok. What about breakdowns? Weapons do break once in awhile.
EDIT: OP said unlimited fuel also BTW.

Re: Zombie Invasion
Yes, weapons break. But spare parts for a weapon don't require a vehicle to transport.
Unlimited fuel, good... now just deal with the rest.

Re: Zombie Invasion
Vehicle breakdowns can be dealt by grabbing another one. There should be plenty of them all over the road. Fuel would have been the biggest issue.

Re: Zombie Invasion
Yes, now just transfer that .50cal and remount it to whatever vehicle you find and ask the zombies not to attack you while you try to remount the weapon. Because that will work SO well.McAvoy wrote:Vehicle breakdowns can be dealt by grabbing another one. There should be plenty of them all over the road. Fuel would have been the biggest issue.

Re: Zombie Invasion
You know what makes this current debate moot? OP post said you get three weapons. So there's your mounted gun for forting up or vehicle use, plus a hand held gun for defense while re-mounting or if you have to move on foot, plus one more for whatever you think would be good. Problem solved.
