Yeah, but ES is one of the few series I'd actually like to own.

I watched FB just recently, and I was thinking that it is getting a bit dated. For instance the electro-synth soundtrack... it grates on me a bit these days. Be nice to have a real score.

Modern effects would be nice, but I hope they don't mess with the ship too much. I suspect a flying saucer won't wash these days, but I don't want to see a big ugly piece of flying industrial architecture like we get in Star Wars and Aliens and every other damn thing these days. Keep it something small, a little on the cramped side, with a small crew and without ten thousand welded plates and greebles all over the outside.

I also want to see a much more advanced Robbie. No clicking of relays before he speaks; something like the robots in iRobot would be nice.

But I do hope they don't mess the actual story around to much.
I would however like to see a true film version of Starship Troopers.
Amen to that.

Then record it.

To FP, truth is that once you start changing things like effects and who plays what and then the sound track... well then maybe you're better off with a sequel then you are with just a remake.

Exo-squad would be pretty bad-ass too, that was such an awesome show. Why the hell hasn't that been released to DVD yet!? The toys from that were so awesome...
First thirteen episodes are on DVD, at least. Holds up today... I mean, you've got a floating corpse in the first episode. Admittedly mostly offscreen, but still...

Lions Voltron.

Those little spaceships were the death of the franchise.

Original Mobile Suit Gundam. Just finished watching the entire series...they had to cut 12 episodes since it was canceled and dear god does it show in the ending.

Actually, they have a remake... well sort of. They have a set of three movies, which have edits in that fix many things they did not like about the original (such as the ball and chain). Afaik, it is only available in Japanese with English subs.

Wasn't there already one in CGI?

Yeah. I've heard it's pretty good, actually.

It was Voltron in the Third Dimension, or something like that. Same characters later on. It was VERY primitively done though.

I mean, take the concept, and remake it. We have the tech to make a transformers movie. They could do Voltron too.

An odd thought. Take the original Transformers G1. It holds up well... but the animation errors can be so painful sometimes. So, correct as many of them as possible. Don't alter the scene, just make sure the colors are right, fix mouth flaps... remove the extra Prime or two...

Blackhole would be nice.
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

I'd like to see Sapphire and Steel with a decent budget. Be hard to match the original actors, though.
