Event Horizon & 40k

Post by Lighthawk »

I ran across Event Horizon the other day, watched a little of it, and got to thinking "You know, this story could just about fit into the WH40k universe as mankind's first experience with the Warp." The results of the Event Horizon's little trip are what you would expect from a ship that traveled the Warp without a Geller field, deamonic possession, maddness, mutation.

Schlocky as it is, I love that movie, and yeah: you are right. 8)

That was the one with Sam Neill and Larry Fishburne, right? For some reason, I never made that connection at all, but Lighthawk is right.

I've never seen the entirety of Event Horizon, only bits and pieces. Is it any good? I've seen the trailer innumerable times because it's in the "coming soon" feature of my Star Trek First Contact tape

It's decent enough entertainment for a couple of hours, and Neill always gives a good performance. You won't find any deep meaning, or even much to think of two hours after you've seen it.

It's worth watching at least once. It's a fairly well known movie in sci-fi circles. I honestly don't know why.
