Is the color magenta? One of the false colors?

But this could have potential. Just fewer jump scares, and more cosmic horror, such as:

"We have a quarantine in place, nothing can get in or out. We'll go in and deal with the infestation."

"It is not an infestation, the color itself is the problem!"
