Little known fact: Many of the Sherwood Forest scenes in this movie were filmed very close to me (about a half an hour's drive away) in Chico, California's Bidwell Park.
And yeah, this new movie...looks like the unholy love child of Katniss Everdeen and Michael Bay.

Rickman was (as always) fun to watch, as was Freeman. Production values were OK; Costner, the direction, and the screenplay were painful.

How do you all feel about "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves?" The Kevin Costner and Alan Rickman movie?

I freaking LOVED this movie as a kid (8 when it came out). I saw it the first week in theatres with my mother and watched it on video another twenty-plus times over the next decade until I finally let someone borrow the video in 2000 and never got it back. I was utterly enthralled with the scenery, the costumes, the cast, and the overall plot. I know it has its faults, but it is still a movie I will stop and watch when I pass it while flipping channels. .

Additionally, "Everything I Do (I Do it For You)" is one of my favorite ballads of all time - as corny as it is. That song ended up #1 for I believe 16 weeks in 1991 and I would literally flip radio stations throughout the day in hopes of hearing it on every pop and adult contemporary station I could hear it on. I even remember waking up to it one night around midnight because I fell asleep with the radio on, singing it, and going back to sleep, only to be questioned by my mother the next morning how I knew a song so well as to have been singing it in my sleep.
