Geostorm - the disaster movie you've never heard of!

Post by Graham Kennedy »

So, very much in the mold of 2012, The Day After Tomorrow, etc.

Apparently this was made in 2014. But then they showed it to test audiences, who all hated it. So they spent tens of millions and a year reshooting scenes... only they couldn't get the original director, so the reshoots are all done by the director of Judge Dredd. Not Dredd, the good movie, but Judge Dredd, the Stallone movie.

So this bodes well. Could be an epic movie bomb in the making!

Why does Gerard Butler keep choosing garbage movies? Geostorm sounds like one of those Asylum produced Sci-Fi channel movie of the week crap. How about call it, "World War Weather?"

This could have been really cool in 1997. 2017.... Nope.

That looks great.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I repeat my 1997 comment... this could have been a killer Rolland Emerich flick!

That was a great trailer. It looks like a lot is happening and just like that I am tricked into believing the movie won't be boring.

Warner Bros. pulling 'Geostorm' posters from theaters because that's just the right call

Image
"Brave the storm" may be a totally OK tagline for inspirational cards and promotional movie posters most of the time but maybe ... just ... not ... right ... now.

While Florida scrambles ahead of Hurricane Irma to effect what may be the largest evacuation in U.S. history, Warner Bros. is pulling its movie posters for Geostorm, the Oct. 20 weather disaster thriller starring Gerard Butler.
