I recently discovered that I hadn't seen Pacific Rim, just as I discovered the same about the Transformers series a number of months ago. In the process of remedying this hole in my cultural experience, I found that conspicuous scientific, logical and other errors are entirely beside the point of said films. There were huge robots!

* though I should admit, being that I don't ask too much more from every movie, I was mostly fine with that

Indeed, one should be able to enjoy pizza and beer as much as caviar and vodka. The only problem I have sometimes is the ubiquity of the former and dearth of the latter.
