The trailer from the upcoming film.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I have a visceral feeling that nothing could match the tongue-in-cheek cool-but-subtly-comic vibe of Robert Vaughn and David McCallum; on the flip side, even though I'm no great fan of Cavill, the trailer looks pretty good.

I hope this is awesome. Just because it was one of my favorite TV series growing up (no I'm not old enough to have seen them live... had to wait for TVLand reruns).

Well... not bad. I think both Cavill and Hammer are slightly wanting in portraying the characters that Vaughn and McCallum established - Cavill makes a valiant effort but doesn't match Vaughn's dry sarcastic wit; and Hammer doesn't give the stoic, put-upon vibe that McCallum made stock-in-trade (though to be fair, it seems that Hammer is purposefully playing it differently.) However, this trailer certainly kept my interest enough to not dismiss this as a hack remake.
