I had just been referring to the motorcycle scene, but yes - The Great Escape was an absolutely phenomenal movie. The cast is like a "Who's Who" of 1960's stars... McQueen obviously, Sir Richard Attenborough, Donald Pleasance, James Coburn, Charles Bronson, James Garner, David McCallum...

Oddly, it's regarded as a classic "Christmas movie" in the UK even though it's absolutely nothing to do with Christmas. You can usually find it on at least a couple of different channels on Christmas day every year.

Seems obvious. One of the stars of The Great Escape was of course Sir Richard Attenborough, who went on to portray Santa Claus in the 1994 remake of A Miracle on 34th Street. QED.

Just read that the raptors in the trailer are trained ones. They are bigger, more deadly version of dogs.
