2) The river scene with the boats. Seriously? Everyone remember what happened when the stegosaurus were disturbed in JP2? Seems far too dangerous to allow that type of adventure.
3) I'm not keen on the idea of this new genetically engineered super monster. It smacks of b-movie explicitly evil monster, rather than hungry predator. That being said it is the logical OOU follow on, and matches the modifications in the first novel. kind of.
4) That motorbike scene better be an adaption of one of the few novel scenes not made to film from the second book. Because the idea they seem to be suggesting of a pack of tame Raptors is frankly ridiculous.
Why were there dino modifications in the book?
I think the bike riding scene is just Chris Pratt and the raptors running from the super dino that was built for assassinations or something.

If I have the story pegged right, some time after the last movie, they figured out how to make a working Jurassic Park. It's successful, safe, and profitable for years. So much so that people find dinosaurs routine and boring. They crossbreed a dinosaur to create a new attraction. So basically, money.
So, so close to Ultimate Dino-Fights.

Not anything like they seem to be doing in this film, but IIRC they modified them to be more in line with what the public would expect, and talked about further modifying them to make them easier to handle, which was nixed by Hammond. hence "Kind of"

Umm... everything that the book exposited. The movie bore no relationship to the premise of the novel save the title, the names of the characters, and the presence of dinosaurs (which animals were, BTW, ancillary to the premise of the book.)

That's actually not bad. Crichton considered that dinosaurs may not look like the pop culture images people know off so human will make the look of the dinos match. I think I'll give this book a try.

Hell no.
But people can post embedded videos of their own from now on, and folks are more than welcome to edit their past posts and make them embedded vids if they want.

I'm watching this GIF and hearing the motorcycle chase music from The Last Crusade.

Sorry, but there is only one motorcycle chase scene in filmdom, with a good deal of imitations. I'll give you a hint: the principle actor performed most (but not all) if his own riding stunts, and even played the roles of some of his pursuers because he was a better rider than most contract stuntmen.
