I'm going to see it tomorrow morning; I'll post my thoughts afterwards. :)

Everything I've heard so far is positive. If the wife heads out of town for a weekend soon I'll go see it.

Okay, so here we go:

The Good: fantastic CGI sequences, an interesting (if fairly predictable) plot, solid performances from everyone (especially Tom Cruise), believable threat/internal consistency.

The Meh: some editing/pacing issues, some cool ideas that needed more than a few seconds' exploration, about 10-20 minutes too short on running time.

The Bad: underuse of some seriously capable actors.

Overall, I'd give it a 6/10 with +1 for CGI. So, 7/10.

So average made good by CGI... damn. I would rather it be the other way around...
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
