In other news, I just discovered that my cable service/ISP has free eps of Firefly online. I just spent the last 45 minutes watching "War Stories" - it was the best time I ever had folding laundry. BTW, while I think Whedon's work swings wildly between highs and lows, Firefly seems to me to be the almost perfect combination of writing, backstory, and casting in a TV series. Even the mediocre production values can't take anything away from it. I could spend three hours just writing about the ep I just watched.

God damn it, I still havent been able to watch a whole epsiode of Firefly, Tsu was trying to talk me into it over Christmas, but something about it just rubs me the wrong way.

Start from the beginning. The pilot was great. The... real pilot, not the one Fox aired. Though that episode is also cool.

The series kicked about nineteen kinds of ass. At work we have a double-length pallet jack. I call it 'Vera'.

What's even better is I got other coworkers who never saw or even heard of Firefly to call it Vera. 8)

I love Firefly. I especially like Gina Torres.

I got the Firefly boxset, despite knowing nothing about it. I got hooked pretty much instantly.

I got the series. Not sure if I'll ever watch the movie. *Shrugs*

It rocks. I actually started with Serenity (the film) in the theater, and then went back and watched the series. I felt like a tool for having skipped it when it first aired.

Same here. But when Firefly came on I was in the middle of my Navy training.

Been off sick since last Wednesday with gout. Back in work today.
