Car's glow plug has packed up. Just as we're heading into winter. :worried:

Is that Brit slang for a spark plug, or do you have a diesel with a block heater? (If the latter, BTW, the necessity for a block heater is often overrated - if you average above freezing for the bulk of the winter, you should be able to run on without it.)

It isn't slang, no. I've a volkswagen group CR TDI engine with a block heater. It's starting fine at the moment since it's above freezing most of the time she's just a little bit stubborn when the frosts are here.

I remember when I sold big-boy diesel trucks - dump trucks, box trucks, fltabeds, etc., with 6.6L and 8.1L diesels - and no-neck he-man types would question my ordering of trucks without block heaters. My response usually consisted of some comment about the lack of polar bar clientele, or the fact that they (the customers) lived below the arctic circle.

Well, hello, November. I went to a party last night, got to see some friends I hadn't seen for a while. All in all, great times with some great people. :D

If you ever end up in Galveston, you'd better damn well call!

We've a lot of diesel engines in our regular cars anything from (now) 1.1L up to 3L. I don't think you can even buy them without a glow plug here...

I honestly don't know if the small passenger-car TDI's here come standard with them or not.

Cruises launch from Galveston; it was a random observation.

Well, they launch from Bayonne, too, but I didn't figure on a stop in Jersey on a trip only as far north as Miami. :P

New York Giants lost again.

The significance of this is that I try to watch it with my cousins on Sundays but I have them to be all defeatists which I don't like. Giants are down by ten and they are ready to go home. I don't like that at all and while I have no faith in the team like I have had prior to last year, it's I just don't like to be in a negative atmosphere.

But I get bugged about coming over to watch football then convinced to stay over which I do not because I got a home of my own. When I do come over, most of the time it's not about the game but everything else.

It is so tedious. That I find my cousin's girlfriend to be tedious and superficial as well as other things that I'd bad.

In other news, though this may be premature, I've been seeing a girl I met at school. What an awesome month. :)
