Got a little over a foot of snow where I live Thursday. Quick storm, though. The wind piling up snowdrifts is almost as bad as the actual storm was!

I miss the snow! I live in Northern California, where we used to get occasional snow every winter, then it just pretty much stopped around 3 or 4 years ago. Now our highs are in the high 50's to low 60's F, and if we want to play in the snow, we go to Mt. Lassen with some friends.

My middle daughter is with some friends (and their parents) at Disneyland for 3 days. They flew from Sacramento. It was her first time on a plane and she loved it! She got a window seat, lucky girl!

I wanted to buy a book this morning, but there was no one to take my money. It made me sad. Then my coworker gave me pizza for lunch. So I'm happy now. :D

I know print is "dead" but, the book store can't afford to hire cashiers?

There's never a co.. er, cashier around when you need one? Just when I thought the modern world didn't have enough big companies willing to take our money...

I just had to show my ID to buy a bottle of cough syrup, because evidently the same chemical that prevents coughing has funny effects on the brain which some kids use for recreational purposes. What will they think of next, glue?

Oh wait...

It wasn't a store, it was a street vendor table.

They make lean with it.
Lean—also known as purple drank, purple lean, sizzurp, dirty sprite, and lean drink—is a combination of the following:

Prescription-strength cough medicine.
Soft drinks.
Hard, fruit-flavored candy.

The prescription cough syrups used to make lean drink present the most danger because they often contain codeine, a powerful opioid drug 1. Another active ingredient in some prescription cough syrups is promethazine, an antihistamine that causes sedative effects and can impair motor functioning

There is a feeling of gratification which is incredibly difficult to describe that occurs when one drives his kids to Liberty Science Center and, upon seeing the sign in the parking lot advertising the new exhibit entitled "Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy Experience," one's daughter screams "OMG! Did that say Star Trek?! I'm nerding out! Let's go let's go let's go!" before he does.
