And...

... new car bashed up because of an apparently suicidal - or at least foolhardy - white-tailed deer. Damned thing just burst from the roadside woods immediately in front of my car. Grill, front fascia, and hood are done for.

Chase? No, I don't drive slowly enough for that bastard to limp away. When one of my sales associates mentioned how bad my car looks, I said, "Think that's bad? You should see the deer."

Eat it? No, I enjoy venison well enough but I don't skin, gut, or dress game. The only meat I eat comes trimmed, wrapped, and marked with a price tag.

The way I see it when I hit deer, is that if they fuck up my car, I eat it. Benefits I guess from being raised by a farm boy and being on the Navy where I learned how to butcher the mean into convenient packages.

I could probably skin most CXP2 game, but I sure as hell don't own a gut hook, much less know how to use one.

You don't really need one, it's a luxury to have. Makes it somewhat easier.

Ultimately you need a good set of sharp knives.

Today in Queens a man learned he couldn't outrun an E Express train.

On the plus side, it's a lesson that he only needed to hear once.

And hopefully the gene pool is better for it.

So I finally go to get the mail at work after about a week, and one of the items was a wholesale catalog of consumer items. Not an oddity of itself, though my store is a chain and all the purchasing is done from a central distribution center... except the items being touted in this particular catalog were pipes, steamboats, grinders, scales, and various types of bongs. Some pretty damned cool percolator types, too.

Back to centralamerica, back to work.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
