Today is my mother's birthday! I got her a Downton Abbey book, a card and coconut cake. She enjoyed it all. :D

The Great Flood of 2016 happened in my apartment yesterday.

I woke up wondering why I hear my shower going off. Turns out I got water falling through my vent in front of my door. It rapidly progressed into other vents and leaked through my drywall.

Severe damage. Knocked out my power to my entire apartment. Breaker board was filled with water.

The guy who lived above me decided he was going to fill the sink to do dishes. He left it on when he went to work. The sink filled his whole apartment which then leaked into mine.

Today they are gutting out my apartment.

My landlord has full comprehensive coverage. So nothing on me. The guy above me doesn't and neither did the owner. He is going to get butt fucked with a concrete dildo with no lube by the insurance company.

Not my problem.

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Not your fault, either. Good comeuppance on the jackass.

I did that once, fortunately I didn't leave for work so I heard the water when it overflowed my sink. My downstairs neighbor had some water damage but not bad.

The place is practically gutted. I might post pics.

Anyway, it's two to three weeks before inspectors come in and deem the place worthwhile to put up sheetrock/drywall.

Right now I am sort of homeless. I cannot stay at my parents for that long. I am sleeping on the floor tonight. The two cats I have are in the basement which isn't good either.

Hopefully I will hear from my landlord tomorrow about getting me bunker up in a motel.

Next week, my store has its inventory. What date? The fifth.

What date do EBT cards refill? Take a wild guess!

Ugh. Even the word inventory give me the Bernie-new ones. Mine is in June.

I do not miss that! Though it is interesting to see, my old store is going through a remodel so I'm curious to see what it will look like.
