IanKennedy wrote:Vegas and Grand Canyon where great. A little cold towards the end but only -2ºC (about 28ºF). Snow came in as we left and we skirted it on the way down to Nevada. But other than that it was great. Today is -14ºC (6.8ºF) up there but we're back in England where it's 3ºC (37ºF) but feels colder, because it's damp.
Welcome back, Ian. :)

Yesterday was 70ºF, today its 40ºF

It decided to snow here, too. We got about an inch and it's 28*F outside.

Yup, same in Connecticut, although the snow barely accumulated.

On Monday Friday to Monday we were in Grand Canyon National Park. It started out as a perfectly reasonable 10-18ºC (50-64ºF) but the day we left it had dropped to 0ºC (32ºF). By that evening most of the roads were closed due to snow and ice and temperatures had dropped to -14ºC (7ºF).

We had a lucky escape as we had to get to Las Vegas for fly out of the country that day. During our trip we ran into pretty bad blizzards.

Well, at least you made it home all right.

It's 50 degrees Fahrenheit right now. Will be snowing tomorrow. That wacky New England weather! :bangwall:

I went back to work this weekend. Went a lot better than I thought it would.

Good and restful. I did little of impact, but I didn't want/need to. ;)

It's snowing out, and we might get up to a foot of the white stuff.

We got hit with anywhere from 6" to 18" in Connecticut, depending on the town. I dug out fine (thank you, Craftsman snowblower), but work is absolutely slammed between absenteeism and inbound meat and produce trucks not making it to the warehouse because New York and Pennsylvania were shut down for 36 hours. An already high-volume day likely went from a 12-hour endeavor to an 18+ hour nightmare, with the likelihood that we'll need about a week to catch up from this.
