The engines were crap though. First off they sound like vacuum cleaners and second they were under powered. But I guess when you need a engine that doesn't drink fuel fast that is one way to go.

I was thinking TV remote controls. All you'd need would be an IR emitter on the phone, and they could have an app that would put controls for your TV/Video/Satellite/Cable on the phone screen. Why have all those remotes lying around the place when one phone could do it all?
I can change the channels on my tv with my phone.
How?
I have an app for my cable provider, open it, find the show I want and click watch on live TV.

But I'm talking about doing things like turn the TV on and off, raise and lower the volume, etc. Everything your TV remote does.

I can do it with my TV because it's a smart TV and connects to the wireless. there are all kind of apps that you can download for different TV brands and will allow your phone to send signals wirelessly to your TV and control it.

The Samsung Galaxy S4, S5 and the HTC One M8 all have that functionality, it is soon going to be a standard thing simply because people are beginning to expect things like it.

I was about to say my HTC One Max has the functionality to control my TV and my skybox plus have separate profiles for the living room and my bedroom.

That's how I understood your comment, which is why I specified I can change channels with my phone. For me that's a big help as searching for shows on my phone app is much easier than on the TV with the remote.

No, but I can't hear my TV no matter what the volume is so I don't bother changing it.

Ever passed by a farm and saw all these useful, life-giving horses, sheep, or cattle, then saw this raggedy ass ass and wondered WTF? Well that ass is there to protect those docile creatures' asses.

Apparently Llamas can serve the same function.
