Yeah, the character... but Kingston isn't shabby either... especially for a 50 year old.

There is something sublime about a cold, unfiltered coriander witbier after a sweaty session of lawn-mowing.

That's why you have to drink a lot quickly. It makes the later ones taste much better. ;)

It actually wasn't bad at first... but then it got SOOOOOOOO crowded (I assume because of the $5 cost) that it it was not even worth trying to get any beer. We left and hit the bars for a while instead.

It's a laugh, pretty much. Its one of the few things we make a family affair out of in a year just cause we can all have a laugh at the acts.

My dad watches it every year in the hope one of the Scandinavians produce a metal/rockey hit. Rather disappointed only the Icelandics came even remotely close.

I don't think I've seen it since the Russians had Ta-Tu as their act.

Living up to my inclination's reputation, I like watching the ridiculous levels of glamour and glitz involved. sure, In real life, I'd find it infuriatingly annoying but I just like to watch it. And the block voting shows one of the few ways that large parts of Europe can actually agree on something.

The crowd in Kiev sounded decidedly pro-Sweden... someone should tell them that it wasn't Ukraine playing even though they wore blue and yellow.

Oh, they knew - they were all Swedes. The England contingent was outnumbered by about four to one.
