1000% Quickdraw - when a typo lets you have fun
Darude - Beautiful Alien (They did more than Sandstorm)
Why Britain joined The European Union (makes horrible sense actually)
One good deed surrounds you in the future (History on him is here)
The Expanse, space battle near a space station (and why you always secure yourself before doing combat repairs)
Abandoned citizens of Alesia (town under siege can't spare the food, and Roman besiegers can't let them out to send word)
Hexxus - Toxic Love (aka when you find yourself rooting for the villain due to his voice)
Frollo singing Hellfire, about how good he is

Enjoy

One of the things that really has started to irritate me about the modern Who is their absolute refusal to kill companions... combined with their desperate attempts to try and generate drama by making us think they're going to kill companions. Rose, Donna, Clara, Bill, every one of them has had a "ohhhhh, she's really honestly dead!" moment, only for the writers to go "Ha! No she isn't! All the tension and drama was for nothing!!!"

I hate how 'special' a lot of them were. Bad Wolf Rose, Doctor-Donna, The Girl Who Waited, the Impossible Girl. Bill was honestly a breath of fresh air for not being special/having the fate of the whoniverse in her hands.

Damn. Freema was the only normal one? I can't even remember the name.

Martha Jones, and Mickey Smith, too. Possibly Jack Harkness, but he was made immortal so not sure how much it'd count. He didn't have some super-special destiny, though.

Well, Leela may have had the whole rawhide dress thing going, but IIRC she didn't have any supernatural or extra-human deal about her.

I really liked Freema precisely because she wasn't some super-duper-special person. The producers didn't seem to like her much, though.

That's one of the better things about Classic-series companions. They weren't super-special or awesome-sauce.

Or rather, when they were, it was because of they were shown to do, rather than because they were declared to be so. For example, if taking on Daleks with an RPG and a baseball bat isn't awesome, I don't know what is.

Maybe for the next Doctor's Companion, have her played by Morena Baccarin?
