Although it's mostly a callout against his old label and stupid people who want everything of theirs to sound the same. It's definetly a nice come back after A Thousand Suns, which I liked, but was not in any stretch one of my favorite.
One can't fault Linkin Park for not trying to keep it fresh. While I am a big fan of their earlier work (Hybrid Theory/Meteora) I still enjoy their "new" sound. Actually there are tracks in Living Things which integrate some elements of their earlier sound to a greater degree than A Thousand Suns.

The Bangles cover Hazy Shade of Winter.

I had a crush on Susanna Hoffs back in the day and still find her sexy as ALL hell today. :Drool2:

A-Ha's final video: The Last Hurrah.

They were damned good.

One of the most underrated musicians in pop music, Dick Dale is not only a great guitarist (and decent trumpet player and drummer) but also was the founder of a genre (surf music,) brought the technique of double-picking to Western music, and literally invented reverb which he then sold to Marshall.

Shake and Stomp

My kids got my wife and me into Madilyn Bailey. She doesn't do original work that I know of, but she sings mostly acoustic versions of hit songs and songs you wouldn't think would sound good played acoustically or slowly. Case in point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miyx7UJXDMM In some songs, she duets with someone else, but I think she sings beautifully.
Some other songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeViNoMk ... ure=fvwrel

Okay, warning here : This is possibly the most NSFW song in history. It may be the rudest single thing I've ever heard, and it's likely to be HORRIBLY offensive to people who think religion deserves any kind of respect, most especially if you're Catholic.

At your own risk.

That is pure awesome. His point is perfectly valid, regardless of language.

Also, I fixed your link.
