Kurt Cobain was on record saying that he knew Nirvana had truly made it when Weird Al asked to spoof them.

Maynard kinda sucks these days; he just won't get back with APC, and the new TOOL album has taken forever because he wants to make wine at his vineyard and record the (also cool, but much less so) long string of Puscifer albums.

I think it's a mixed bag overall, but the Nightmare before christmas cover album, Nightmare Revisited is worth a run through once imo.
