Well side bonus with the NFL. More Patriots players opt out the more Belichick has to figure out how to use other players with less ability and the better chance they lose. Unfortunately that may result in them getting that top end QB from Clemson. Which is the last thing he needs. A hot shot rookie QB.

Patriots is the team Belichick coaches. He considered to be the best coach in the history of the NFL. He has 8 players opting out to play this season which I think all of them are potential starters. Bare minimum to field a team is 24, thigh there could be more. So roughly a third of his team is not playing this year.

As much as I am really enjoying the baseball season so far, I just don't see how it can continue much longer. So many postponed games due to Covid outbreaks plus weather postponements, with a serious dash of opt-out/injured players equates to more games left to be played in too few days.

Yeah this baseball season is just a pure mess.

It's going to take awhile for sports to get back to normal. Or a new normal I guess.

Well, they have reached the milestone in the season where they are cutting the teams from 30 players to 28 for the remainder of the season and post season, and increasing the taxi squad from 3 to 5 players.

The change to 7 inning double headers is probably good to preserve player health, but really screws up how to manage the pitching staff. I get it, but don't like it.

Same dislike for each new pitcher having to face at least 3 batters before a change can be made. What a nightmare for guys who are lefty specialists, etc.
