Went to Hobbiton for the third time today. Gets better every time.

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

And here I was, thinking that was a fictitious place.

Let's see:

Doing the whole online dating thing for almost a year. Last year went on dates with several women. Two of which amounted to something with one we ended up being just friends and the other dumped me out of random. Back on the dating scene after a few months of me time. Dating a girl who seems most like me except she doesn't watch TV or movies.

Grandma is on a long downward spiral. Just went into hospice on Friday. Her husband died last year. Both are in advanced forms of dementia.

Job is good. I expect to take over later this year or early next year as the sole person running the department. Right now my Boss is the Owner's father.

My brother is expecting his third child in less than two weeks. First with his second wife. This one is spool much better than the last one.

Mom is retiring in a few months. Then the Big Argument will happen. With Mom home she will pester my Dad about his business. He uses Reverb and Ebay to sell musical instruments. For every instrument he sells he manages to buy two. All of it stored in the house. Part two of the Big Argument is whether or not they stay in the house or move to New Hampshire. Mom wants to stay and be a grandmother to her grandkids while Dad wants to go to New Hampshire. Part 3 is my Mom wanting to remodel the kitchen while my DD just wants to see the house as is.

My wife and I spent our 20th anniversary at South Lake Tahoe at the Beach Resort Hotel. Our hotel room was right on the water, just open the sliding glass door and walk 50 feet and your feet are in very cold water. Just got back today. I had no idea how big that lake was till I got there. It is beautiful! On the way back home, we visited a tourist spot called Vikingsholm in Emerald Bay on the Lake. Look it up, it's really cool.

We visited that area a few years back as part of a circumnavigation of California we did. We started in LA and went to Las Vegas, up through Death Valley and on to Lake Tahoe, Carter Lake, over to the coast down highway 1 back to SFO and LA.

Loved the area and visited Vikingsholm, lovely spot. If it's the place I'm thinking of it's in a State Park on he banks of the lake.
