SFDebris: Civilisation

YouTube

In which Enterprise rips off the sonic screwdriver (and fails miserably at it) and George Bush's idiot brother proves less worthy of his title than Doctor Kermit

I actually liked Archer's speech about going out instead of probes.

He makes a good point. The problem is that probes would have left a much better impression on the populace than the ship of the damned.

A greater impression, certainly, but I don't think it would have been a better one. Humanity's first warp-speed interstellar probe ended up trashing planet it found, as Voyager discovered.

Gee, early Federation sucked.

Wait, actually it sucked all the way through, it just handed out flowers to look nice.

I dunno... I think the Valakians would have rather have taken their chances with a probe.
