ENT - The Romulan War

Post by JudgeKing »

Is anybody here looking forward to this next chapter of the Enterprise relaunch? This book brings us some of the Earth-Romulan war. Hopefully, the Challenger NX-03 finally gets comissioned :bangwall: .
There is not a problem in this world that can't be solved without the proper application of a sufficient number of thermonuclear ordnance.

Are you suprised? ENT was just paramount whoring out the trek name, they're just doing it more.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Depends on the author, how they treat the characters and how they treat canon. If they go the B&B route it'll be an abortion, if they go the Coto route it might be decent. I'll say this, when given a decent script it was actually a pretty decent series. Not great, but decent.

Aye, maybe a few good writers will be able to salvage the trainwreck of a series.

I haven't read an awful lot of 'Trek novels, but in this case I think it could be a huge ramp-up in the quality of the ENT franchise.

Not like it can go down.

A lot of people call Trek novels glorified fanfic but I think that does it a disservice. What I've read has been well written and interesting novels. I haven't read tons of it, but what I have read I haven't been disappointed with.

None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

I read that one too (and also can't remember the title). It was really good writing. Wish they had that for most of the series.
