Opinionated Voyager Episode Guide looks at the final appearance of Species 8472. The aggressors of Scorpion are back, and plotting to infiltrate Starfleet itself, and all because they are unable to understand how maps work.

Ah, the episode that wasted 8472 as a threat permanently. What a pile of crap.

I gotta agree with that, Tsuki. More than the Borg, they should never have brought back 8472.

While I liked the episode it killed 8472. I felt they could have brought them back as a Borg 2.0.

Then again I am one of those people who would have liked to see the Voth come back.

Actually... I think the Voth could've come back without watering them down. So i agree with you, McAvoy.

I think with 8472 showing them more tore away their mystique and otherness.

I always thought 8472 could be brought back once or twice as a threat. No need to bring them back constantly like he Borg.
