Back to the days of well-deserved mockery.

That episode was horrible. They couldn't even bear to step outside the established tropes even a little. Tuvok stuck with a bunch of kids? Oh the hilarity! It's the Tuvok/Neelix odd couple all over again only with Neelix broken down into three much less annoying characters. The kids don't obey. Tuvok can't figure out how to deal with them. And they're aging backwards without even the most basic of concessions to some kind of reality. It's so formulaic its fucking painful. Did it ever occur to them to maybe have Tuvok's strategy work with one or even all of the kids? How about having the kids act senile instead of juvenile?

And can someone explain to me how the hell a woman gives birth to an 85 year old man?

This review reminded me that Mork & Mindy was a far superior show on average then VOY.

I remember watching this and just turning it off, it was that bad.

I should have. I was a glutton for punishment with Voyager. I badly wanted it to be good Trek.

Aye, I didn't make the same mistake twice, personaly. I turned ENT off halfway through the first series.

Same, I saw Voyager's suck distilled down and spiced with a total lack of concern for the source material and tuned it out. Sadly that means I tuned out seasons 3 and 4 as well and only got to enjoy and appreciate them well after the fact.

The thing with Voyager was that it was occasionally good enough to justify wading through the crap, and it always had the potential. ENT never did.

But yeah, the reverse aging thing has been done before and never well.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Many, many shows have a lot of crap but have themes, characters, dialogue, or whatever to still come out ahead. The problem with VOY was that except in a few rare occassions, the level of that crap was to high to fight out of.

Aging backwards makes about as much sense as evolving backwards.

" Yeah, our scientists figure in another dozen generations, we'll lose our thumbs. Course, what do they know? Their brains have shrunk over 50% in the last 1,000 years."

Silly, silly writers
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.
