So far it looks like minor sharpening of the edges. Nothing overly major though.

a pilot project, without having the original data available, and in cgi a certain difference imho can be seen

I paused it at like eight different places and zoomed right in to examine it as closely as I could, and I honestly can't see any difference whatsoever in the before and after pictures. They literally look identical to me.

uhm ... to me at least in the cgi scenes it seems much better (although far from the differences of TNG between SD and HD) ... it must be my the desire to see also DS9 in HD :D

I vaguely remember someone long ago did put some of the big battle scenes from the Dominion War into a program that got it very clear.

maybe it was this video



this one is incredible for me (but i'm not sure if it is a remastered version or they recreated it with some 3d software)
