Indeed or maybe something nez but logical evolution of TNG.

Re: Captain Jean-Luc Picard to Return?
surely the new must be the master (25 years have passed since TNG!) but maybe even a model in an office ... something to connect (as long as it is not a connection of pure facade as in other series .... oh well. .. trust for season 2!)

Re: Captain Jean-Luc Picard to Return?
Here's Mike Stoklasa and Rich Evans talking about what they would do in a new Picard series.
I gotta say, I like the basic idea - the USS Galaxy reappears, 25 years after having vanished. A crew goes to bring it back, with Picard, Geordi and Leah Brahms along as mission specialists. When the hotshot reckless young Captain is killed, Picard must take command. Shenanigans ensue as he tries to get the ship back home.

Re: Captain Jean-Luc Picard to Return?
the little detail that the USS Galaxy is quoted on screen in Nemesis obviously will have no weight ...
they could give the ship any other name ...

That could be a different class replacement after they gave up on the original Galaxy.bladela wrote:the little detail that the USS Galaxy is quoted on screen in Nemesis obviously will have no weight ...

Re: Captain Jean-Luc Picard to Return?
It is possible ... but the iconic nature of the name would be lost. If it's any other future ship, they could give it any name ... why not even use the Enterprise-E at this point?
it's almost as old as the USS Galaxy from the 25th century perspective ...

Re: Captain Jean-Luc Picard to Return?
It would be nice to see the Galaxy class again. It is the ship I most recognize Jean-Luc Picard captaining.
By the way, any here ever started writing out their own Star Trek ideas? It's weird how Stoklasa started wriritng doinw his own story when he heard Picard was back.

...hoping they do not necessarily have to put their hand to the model of that ship...

Picard will walk on the bridge of the USS Galaxy and say, "We're home."

Re: Captain Jean-Luc Picard to Return?
Actually with Picard it would work better if it were an old Constellation class. ^_^
