X most awesome moments in TNG

Post by Teaos »

Insipred obviously by GKs post of 20 most cringe worthy.

The 10 or 20 or 50 most awesome moments. By moment I mean a single scene that you cheer at. It can be in a shit episode, all we want is single great scenes.

I think one of the all time best, even on multiple viewings.

From Yesterday's Enterprise :

"Enterprise, surrender."
"That'll be the day!"

From Sarek, this scene

From Chain of Command 2 : "There - are - FOUR - lights!"

From Unification, Picard gives us a lesson in threatening without ever actually threatening.
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

Picard abusing the Sheliak.

Worf pimp-slapping Duras.

Worf killing Duras.
Duras: I'm the only one, Worf - the only one who can prove your innocence. Kill me and you're a traitor forever.
Lieutenant Worf: Then that is how it shall be!
Fuck you, Duras.

Worf finally allowing himself to admit to Alexander, "Yes. I am your father."

"Mister Worf... fire."

Picard's final speech in Measure of a Man. Heck, Riker's argument in the same episode.

Picards monologue about the Borg in First Contact.

"The Line must be drawn here, no further!"

The showdown between Picard and Tomalak in "the Defector." The way the weight shifted when the three birds-of-prey decloaked was fine.

The scene in Ten Forward in "All Good Things..." when old Picard has the paradox figured out but cannot articulate it and everyone slowly sees he isn't nuts.

That entire battle.

"Let's make sure history never forgets the name Enterprise."

Also, Scotty versus the computer in Relics:

"N, C, C,1, 7, 0, 1. No bloody A, B, C or D."

A Matter of Time "I assume your handprint will open this door whether you are conscious or not."
"You ain't gonna get off down the trail a mile or two, and go missing your wife or something, like our last cook done, are you?"
"My wife is in hell, where I sent her. She could make good biscuits, but her behavior was terrible."

I agree with most of these, but I'll add, "Take this message to your leaders Gul Macet, ' We'll be watching."
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

Another Worf one, after K'Ehleyr dies and Worf does his scream, he walks over to Alxeader and says, "You have never seen death?" Alexander shakes his head to say no. Worf responds, "Then look, and always remember."

Star Trek TNG Moments 81 Reunion. Such great music.

Kevin Uxbridge's Confession from the episode Episode 3x03: The Survivors.
The actor who played Kevin Uxbridge, "John Anderson had lost his own wife shortly before appearing in "The Survivors", and said that the subject matter made the role of Kevin Uxbridge one of the most difficult of his career." - http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/The_Sur ... episode%29
