Opinionated Next Gen Episode Guide returns for more of Romulan Summer! Naturally, that means Klingons, because, duh! Worf learns his father is accused of betraying the outpost to the Romulans that killed him, so Worf must prove he's innocent and also didn't die ironically.
Chuck really goes into the story in this one, metaphors and analogies.

First appearance of Kurn, first appearance of Duras, first appearance of Km'Peck, first Klingon Homeworld, first look at the Klingon reality. I remember the teaser for this episode, "On the next TNG, Worf meets his brother," so there was no surprise for me.

Chuck points out that this Klingon arc is really a story inside the larger Romulan arc. "It's always a game of chess with the Romulans."

An impressive analysis by him. Good, good tying it into the Romulans, there.

I don't think outside the box. I would never make those connections on my own.

Something I've always wondered was if that old woman used Picard as bait to draw out those assassins. She sounded real terrified when she wouldn't help but, after killing the assassin, her attitude did a 180o.
