Why? I'm not trying to attack your opinion, just to understand it. Personally, I thought it was a great exploration of storytelling using the sci-fi setting as a setting, rather than an story element.Tholian_Avenger wrote:I really disliked this episode.

I've never heard a live performance of that before. I know there was an orchestral version on CD (I have the CD) which Jay Chattaway wrote (it's the same arrangement as the one you linked to, but done in a studio rather than a live performance), which you can hear on THIS video.Sonic Glitch wrote:This review led me on a search for the music, and I think this may be my favorite rendition:

Now I find it hard to suspend disbelief, and impossible to sympathize with aliens. I think it is horrible to inflict an entire lifetime of memories on someone.
Let's take McAvoy's comment. How did this probe know its victim would be able to emotionally hold together afterwards?
