He releases every Saturday, and I am subscribed to his Youtube channel.

But yeah, the review hits pretty much all of the points that anyone has on First Contact, it's not a bad story, it's a decent Trek film, it has a crap load of problems like any other Trek film.

Fixed - I don't think you could say the same about Trek films in general - TWoK disproves that.

Um....then TFF reproves it. Unfortunately, TWoK was the exception to the rule. So was TUC.

No it doesn't - it simply demonstrates that Trek films with a crap load of problems exist. The statement that any other Trek film has said problems is disproved by a single counterexample.

As an analogy, to say that TFF proves the statement is like saying that everyone in the US is a fucking idiot, and George Bush proves it.

Somedays I may just agree with that analogy, after the talking with the lady who was trying to start her car by kicking her tires.

However, your point is taken....but its said when they came up with only one gem, seemingly on accident.

He was more complimentary of the film than I expected. I assumed it would be landing at a 6 or 7. I did like his breakdown of Picard's issues with the Stargazer, Borg, and Enterprise.

Captains Log, I have never trusted Trois piloting. And I never will. I can never forgive her for the death of my fish!

Picard is secretly a bit manic, isn't he?
